Small Gray Dog Publishing was born from the love of storytelling, and from the belief that authors deserve to feel supported, valued, and seen throughout the publishing journey.

Founder Kelly Smith began her writing career as a new author in 2018. After publishing five books, she found herself searching for something more: a creative space built on collaboration, transparency, and community.

That experience led to the creation of Small Gray Dog Publishing, LLC

What began as a personal decision to step out independently soon became something larger , a boutique Indi publishing company, created to give authors the kind of publishing experience she once wished for herself.

At SGD Publishing, we believe every story deserves a home. We are passionate about creating an environment where authors can grow together, feel creatively supported and never feel overlooked in the process.
